Until you have redecorated your bathroom, you never realize how much thought goes into choosing the perfect tiles. You want something that looks great, and at the same will withstand the wear and tear of daily life and is easy to clean. Beautiful tiles can pull your whole bathroom design together and give the space a uniquely, customizable look. With the right tiles you can transform the atmosphere of your ordinary bathroom into a luxurious, relaxing space that you enjoy unwinding and spending time in.

If you're looking for inspiration for your bathroom renovation, here are 4 tiling ideas that will add character to your bathroom:

Be bold: Don't be afraid to make a statement with your bathroom tiling. Create an accent wall using tiles of an interesting color or texture. Decorate with matching accessories, hand towels, and a bath mat of the same color. Glass tile comes in a variety of colors in glossy, matte, and iridescent finishes that make for a striking focal point in bathrooms.

Mix and match: Choose a variety of tile types that complement each other for a one-of-a kind design completely unique to your bathroom. Mixing and matching tile colors, sizes, and textures makes for a visually appealing and interesting design. Try mixing glass tile with stone tile for a unique look. Keep it simple with colors that complement each other without overwhelming the space.

Uniformity: If you desire a clean, crisp, modern look for your bathroom design, stick with the same tiles for the floor and walls in a simple white and gray color scheme. Throw in a pop of color with matching towels and accessories.

Accent tiles: If you want to add a little flair to your bathroom design but you're don't want to commit to a bold accent wall of glass tile, try using bright colored glass tile as accents to a neutral tile floor or wall. Bright colored accent tile adds an unexpected touch to a simple tile design without being too loud or overwhelming. Choose one color or a variety of colors of glass tile to give your bathroom your own personal touch.

Glass tile allows for you to create a bathroom design that is completely your own. If you're in the process of renovating your bathroom try one of the above suggestions or use your own creative freedom to design a glass and stone tile mosaic or pattern that fits your home décor.

Wouldn't it be a little dangerous to have glass tiles on the floor though, just seems like it would be slippery.

One or two rows of colored glass tiles running through the rest of the tiles adds a really nice decorative touch.

Choosing tiles is a huge decision. We spent weeks going back and forth on exactly what we really wanted. But, I'm glad we did, because that's probably the biggest decision for the bathroom.
